**Job Title:** Senior DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, build, and maintain scalable, low‑latency AWS infrastructure for high‑frequency trading and sports betting platforms. Automate deployments, monitor system health, and resolve performance and stability issues across production and development environments.
**Expectations:**
- Lead infrastructure ownership and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with CTO and developers to align infrastructure with product needs.
- Demonstrate strong autonomy, problem‑solving skills, and ability to innovate.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Architect and evolve AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, RDS, VPN, multi‑region networking).
- Implement and maintain configuration management using Ansible.
- Automate provisioning, scaling, and patching with Bash and Python scripts.
- Administer PostgreSQL databases and ensure high availability.
- Own monitoring, alerting, and observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana).
- Analyze metrics, packet captures, and logs to diagnose latency or stability problems.
- Collaborate with security teams on user management, auditing, and network security.
- Participate in on‑call duty and incident response with best‑effort, out‑of‑hours coverage.
**Required Skills:**
- Extensive Linux/Unix DevOps experience.
- Proficiency with AWS services (EC2, VPC, RDS, networking, IAM).
- Strong scripting skills: Bash, Python.
- Ansible configuration management.
- Network design: routing, VPN, multi‑region VPC, security groups, NACLs.
- Monitoring & alerting: Prometheus, Grafana, alertmanager.
- PostgreSQL database administration.
- Experience in financial, trading, or gaming domains with real‑money impact.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant cloud certifications preferred (AWS Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or similar).
