Job Description

Job title: Senior Data Analyst Role Summary: Consults with business stakeholders to clarify problems, gathers requirements, and transforms complex data into advanced insights and actionable recommendations. Leads independent, high‑complexity analytics projects, mentors junior analysts, and serves as a domain subject‑matter expert. Expectations: • Deliver high‑quality analyses within agreed timelines. • Mentor and coach junior team members. • Act as a trusted advisor on analytics strategy and best practices. • Communicate findings clearly to non‑technical audiences. • Ensure ethical use of AI tools and maintain data integrity. • Continuously expand domain knowledge and analytics capabilities. Key Responsibilities: • Partner with stakeholders to define business goals, KPIs, and success metrics. • Scop, plan, and execute end‑to‑end analytics projects independently. • Prepare and transform large/complex datasets using advanced blending and quality techniques. • Apply intermediate statistics and data models to evaluate trends and drivers. • Build models, dashboards, and visualizations (Tableau/Power BI, etc.) to support decision‑making. • Develop data products (chatbots, reusable dashboards) tailored to varying data literacy levels. • Create compelling narratives and visual stories for business audiences. • Mentor junior analysts and promote best practices. • Leverage AI tools for analysis acceleration, ensuring accuracy and accountability. • Stay current with advanced analytics platforms (Databricks, etc.) and integrate them into solutions. Required Skills: • Advanced data preparation, blending, and quality techniques for big data. • Intermediate statistical analysis and scenario modeling. • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data querying, transformation, and analysis. • Expert-level Tableau and/or Power BI dashboard and narrative design. • Experience with Databricks or equivalent analytics/data platforms. • Strong project management: task modularization, multi‑project coordination, progress communication, blocker resolution. • Ability to craft effective AI prompts and iterate for high‑quality output. • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills. • Mentoring and leadership capabilities. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). • Valid certifications in SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI, or related analytics tools are a plus.
