Strategy Test Manager
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, execution, and governance of test strategy for connected services and software solutions. Manage test activities across planning, execution, and sign‑off phases, ensuring robustness, reliability, and fit‑for‑purpose delivery in complex, multi‑vendor environments.
**Expectations**
- Develop and maintain enterprise‑wide test strategy, frameworks, and governance.
- Deliver high‑quality testing outcomes on time, while advocating for standards and processes.
- Lead cross‑functional teams (developers, suppliers, UAT) and stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
- Use risk‑based, data‑driven approach to challenge decisions and protect quality.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Define and drive end‑to‑end test strategy for connected services and distributed systems.
- Plan, schedule, and manage comprehensive SAP test cycles.
- Oversee test automation tooling, frameworks, and best practices.
- Execute API, microservices, and event‑driven integration tests, including synchronous and asynchronous flows.
- Design and conduct resilience, security (SAST, DAST, penetration), and threat‑modeling tests.
- Produce clear test documentation for technical and business stakeholders.
- Lead and motivate teams, vendors, and UAT participants in a matrixed setting.
- Communicate complex technical issues to non‑technical audiences, presenting findings and recommendations.
- Proactively manage issues, risks, and conflicts; make decisive quality‑focused decisions.
**Required Skills**
- Senior experience in test strategy management and hands‑on test leadership.
- Deep understanding of Agile and Waterfall SDLC integration with test processes.
- Expertise in SAP test cycles and selection of appropriate test tools.
- Strong test‑automation knowledge (frameworks, tooling, practices).
- Hands‑on testing of distributed systems, microservices, API integration patterns, and resilience testing.
- Proficiency with OWASP standards, SAST/DAST, and penetration testing.
- Understanding of OAuth, JWT, SAML, secure coding, and threat modeling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to senior non‑technical audiences.
- Proven leadership in motivating people, vendors, and stakeholders in matrixed teams.
- Decision‑making capabilities with a focus on quality over schedule.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline (preferred).
- Certified ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or equivalent qualifications desirable.
