**Job Title**
Software Engineer – Ada (Embedded Systems)
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, and maintain high‑criticality embedded software in Ada for aerospace, space, and defense applications. Participate throughout the software lifecycle, ensure compliance with certification standards (e.g., DO‑178C, ECSS, DEF‑STAN), and collaborate with system, validation, and quality teams to deliver reliable, secure solutions.

- Follow established development processes and documentation standards.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve defects during testing and integration.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, practices, and team knowledge.
- Communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams and adapt to evolving project needs.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, code, and unit‑test Ada software for safety‑critical embedded systems.
- Participate in requirements analysis, architectural design, and code reviews.
- Execute integration tests, troubleshoot anomalies, and implement corrective actions.
- Produce and update technical documentation (specifications, design notes, test reports).
- Apply and enforce applicable standards (DO‑178C, ECSS, DEF‑STAN) throughout development.
- Collaborate with system, validation, and quality assurance teams to ensure product reliability.
**Required Skills**
- Expert proficiency in Ada (83/95/2005, SPARK).
- Experience with Ada development tools (GNAT, Eclipse, GPS or equivalents).
- Strong understanding of real‑time embedded systems and associated constraints.
- Familiarity with version‑control systems (Git, SVN) and CI practices.
- Knowledge of C/C++ or Python for integration/scripting (preferred).
- Awareness of cybersecurity principles and software quality assurance.
- Excellent analytical, detail‑oriented, and teamwork abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Engineering degree (Bac+5) or equivalent in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or Software Engineering.
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional Ada development experience, preferably in aerospace, space, or defense sectors.
- Demonstrated experience with safety‑critical standards (DO‑178C, ECSS, DEF‑STAN) is essential.
