Job Description
**Job title** Security Operations Manager **Role Summary** Helps ensure the safety and security of a large leisure venue by leading supervisory staff, overseeing control‑room operations, managing team rosters, training, and access control. Works closely with stakeholders to maintain compliance and a coordinated security response. **Expectations** • Maintain 24/7 security coverage and optimal resource deployment. • Lead, coach, and evaluate security supervisors and crew. • Ensure adherence to policy, reporting all non‑compliance. • Audit performance to identify training needs and deliver improvements. • Manage visitor and vehicle screening, as well as access control. • Partner with operations and other departments to refine security processes. • Act as first‑line escalation point for security staff. **Key Responsibilities** - Manage daily security rosters, sickness, and leave for continuous cover. - Oversee control‑room operations, system usage, and access permissions. - Conduct searches and inspections in line with policy. - Monitor premises access, enforce visitor management procedures. - Audit security service delivery and implement training. - Develop and implement standard operating procedures with Operations Manager. - Communicate with campus stakeholders to coordinate security responses. **Required Skills** - Leadership and team‑management in a dynamic, high‑traffic environment. - Strong knowledge of security protocols, SIA licensing, and control‑room systems. - Ability to analyze service delivery, identify gaps, and facilitate training. - Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem‑solving skills. - Proactive approach to risk assessment and compliance monitoring. **Required Education & Certifications** - Right to work in the UK. - Frontline SIA licence. - Relevant experience in supervisory or managerial security roles.
