**Job Title:** Cloud Compute Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Ensures stability, scalability, and evolution of global compute platforms across Windows and Linux environments. Manages multi‑cloud operations (AWS, Alibaba Cloud, GCP), Kubernetes clusters, and automation while supporting day‑to‑day operations and project initiatives within an Agile framework.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver reliable system administration for Windows and Linux servers (cloud & on‑prem).
- Resolve incidents, service requests, and change tasks via ServiceNow.
- Optimize cloud costs and lifecycle management.
- Support Kubernetes and containerized workloads, including Istio service mesh.
- Automate provisioning, patching, and configuration using Ansible and scripting.
- Participate in migration, transformation, and cloud‑adoption projects.
- Collaborate in cross‑functional, global teams using Jira and Agile practices.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers.
- Manage compute resources in AWS, Alibaba Cloud, and GCP; handle server provisioning and decommissioning.
- Operate and support Kubernetes clusters across all cloud platforms; assist DevOps teams with container deployment.
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks; write PowerShell, Python, and Bash scripts for automation.
- Use cloud‑native tools (e.g., AWS Systems Manager) for automated patching.
- Contribute to cost‑optimization, lifecycle, and migration initiatives (Linux EOL, Red Hat decommission).
- Track work, plan sprints, and manage backlogs in Jira; process tickets in ServiceNow.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep expertise in Windows Server and Linux system administration.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS, GCP (and preferably Alibaba Cloud).
- Kubernetes operations knowledge; familiarity with Istio is a plus.
- Strong automation skills: Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Bash.
- Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Terraform), Git.
- Agile methodology experience (Jira).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
- Proficient English (written & verbal).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional).
- Certifications in Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) and/or Linux/Windows administration are advantageous.
