**Job title**
Intern, Security Clearances
**Role Summary**
Provide support to the Corporate Security team by managing access control, CCTV operations, and physical security compliance per corporate policies and the Industrial Security Manual (ISM). Coordinate site access requests, conduct security reviews, and assist in incident response and security planning.
**Expactations**

**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Access & Security Systems** – Review, document, and facilitate employee, agency, and contractor site access and ID credential requests.
2. **Control System Administration** – Centrally manage and administer C‑Cure access control and Exacq CCTV systems; ensure functionality and compliance with ISO 27001.
3. **Physical Security Reviews** – Conduct scheduled and random physical access reviews; serve as the first point of contact for security incidents and intrusion alarm call‑tree.
4. **Documentation & Reporting** – Manage site access requests, approvals, annual reviews, and vendor security documentation; produce incident reports and security plan updates.
5. **Collaboration** – Work with guard force, managers, and facility stakeholders to enforce access control, badge issuance, key access, and perimeter security.
**Required Skills**
- 5+ years in physical security, including design, implementation, or management of large security technology projects.
- Proficient with C‑Cure Access Control and Exacq CCTV Systems.
- Knowledge of ISO 27001 and other industry security standards.
- Ability to write formal policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and data analysis in Excel.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication; cross‑functional stakeholder engagement.
- Self‑directed, time‑management, problem‑solving, and decisive action skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited post‑secondary university.
- Relevant technical training and formal security certifications (CPP, PSP) are a plus but not required.
- Willingness or ability to obtain Infrastructure Ontario OPS and OPP security clearance.
