**Job Title** Graduate Cyber Security Consultant **Role Summary** Entry‑level cyber security consultant working with a diverse client portfolio, primarily in the UK public sector. Provides technical assurance, risk assessments, and architecture advice across the project lifecycle. Supports development and testing, incident response, and security awareness initiatives within client and internal teams. **Expectations** - Rapid transition from academic setting to consulting role. - Deliver measurable value on projects with confidentiality and security clearance. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and independently drive tasks. - Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Conduct technical assurance reviews of proposed solutions. 2. Design and evaluate security architectures to mitigate emerging risks. 3. Advise clients on Information Assurance (IA) and architectural risks. 4. Develop Risk Management Accreditation Document Sets (RMADS). 5. Scope security testing activities and translate findings into actionable remediation plans. 6. Investigate security incidents and support post‑incident analysis. 7. Promote security awareness across project teams and client environments. 8. Perform Cyber Security Risk Assessments and document controls’ assurance status. **Required Skills** - Strong analytical and structured problem‑solving abilities. - Quick learning and adaptability to new technologies and business contexts. - Effective communication and presentation skills to justify technical conclusions. - Proactive, self‑motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of cross‑functional teams. - Interpersonal, influencing, and stakeholder management skills. - Familiarity with UK public sector security frameworks (HMG Security Policy Framework, NCSC IA Portfolio, IA Standards, Good Practice Guides, Architecture Patterns). **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline. - Master’s or Ph.D. in STEM or Information/Cyber/Systems Security (preferred). - NCSC‑certified Information/Cyber/Systems Security master’s degree or equivalent. - Eligibility to obtain and maintain UK Government Security Clearance. - (Optional) Prior technical or consulting experience.
