Job Title: SAP Basis Administrator
Role Summary:
Responsible for the operation, installation, configuration, and performance tuning of SAP landscapes across multiple environments (Windows, Linux, Oracle, MaxDB, MS SQL). Acts as the technical SAP contact within the IT organization, advising on technology solutions, user management, and system security.
Expectations:
* Deliver stable, high‑availability SAP services as part of a global, multi‑site infrastructure.
* Complete SAP technical projects and support requests within agreed timelines.
* Maintain rigorous documentation and adhere to IT change and incident management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, configure, upgrade, and patch SAP systems (NW, ABAP, Java).
* Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize resources.
* Manage user accounts, roles, authorizations, and system security (PKI, certificates, trusts).
* Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (IT teams, vendors, hosting providers) for project delivery and service requests.
* Execute SAP and database client/copy operations (system copy, transport management).
* Produce and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
* Serve as subject‑matter expert for SAP technologies and provide guidance to functional/business teams.
Required Skills:
* 5+ years of SAP Basis experience (SAP NetWeaver, ABAP, Java).
* Experience with SAP Solution Manager, ERP, CRM, TREX; HANA knowledge is a plus.
* Proficient with Windows and Linux OS administration.
* Strong understanding of SAP authorization concepts and system security.
* Familiar with database administration (Oracle, MaxDB, MS SQL).
* Exposure to ITIL‑style change, incident, and service management.
* Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, oral and written communication skills.
* Self‑motivated, able to manage multiple projects independently.
Required Education & Certifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
* SAP Basis certification (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP ERP System Administration).
* Additional SAP HANA certification is preferred.
