**Job title**
Energy Storage Business Developer (M/F)
**Role Summary**
Drive the development and expansion of the company’s energy storage portfolio, targeting 300 MWh of deployed assets by 2030. Act as a cross‑functional catalyst from site identification to project hand‑over, negotiating with landowners, securing permits, and collaborating with engineering, procurement, and technical teams to deliver new storage solutions linked to solar or standalone projects.
**Expectations**
* Deliver new storage sites, ensuring legal, financial, and technical viability.
* Achieve targeted growth in storage capacity and revenue.
* Prove strategic impact through market analysis, business model innovation, and continuous improvement of internal tools.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Identify, negotiate, and contract landowners for battery storage sites.
* Provide technical support for site selection and feasibility studies; model load profiles, energy consumption, and techno‑economic scenarios.
* Lead project securitization: lease agreements, construction permits, and urban planning approvals.
* Track and optimize CAPEX/OPEX in partnership with Procurement.
* Draft and submit technical offers for public and private tenders.
* Explore optimisation opportunities for existing assets and new market openings domestically and internationally.
* Coordinate with suppliers, technical advisors, consultants, grid operators, PV developers, and other stakeholders during pre‑construction and construction.
* Support engineers in critical project milestones.
* Conduct market, technological, and strategic studies; maintain industry watch.
* Contribute to the refinement of internal processes, tools, and skill sets.
* Potentially transition into team‑leadership roles as the unit scales.
**Required Skills**
* Project development experience in renewable energy, especially energy storage.
* Strong negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Technical modeling (load, sizing, tech‑economic) and cost‑optimization acumen.
* Knowledge of permitting, regulatory frameworks, and construction timelines.
* Business modeling, market analysis, and competitive intelligence.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and cross‑functional collaboration.
* Fluency in French and English; additional languages welcome.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy, Finance, or Business Development.
* Proven track record in renewable project development or energy storage.
* PMP, Prince2, or equivalent project management certification is advantageous.
