Job Description
Job Title: Summer Student – Spare Parts and Services Role Summary: Provide temporary support to the spare parts team during the summer, handling receipt, inventory, storage, and documentation of parts while maintaining high accuracy and organization. Expectations: Deliver dependable, detail‑oriented service in a fast‑moving industrial environment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality procedures and covering for a colleague on leave as needed. Key Responsibilities: - Receive, verify, identify, sort, and quality‑check incoming spare parts shipments. - Store, label, and organize parts in warehouse, maintaining order and accessibility. - Perform regular inventory counts, reconciliations, and corrective actions per established procedures. - Prepare maintenance orders (kitting) by assembling required parts. - Process returns, re‑entries, and other inventory adjustments, tracking status internally. - Photograph parts and enter data into the master file following established standards. - Update and maintain various internal records, lists, and registries. - Carry out administrative tasks assigned by the department. - Undertake other related duties as required. Required Skills: - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). - Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and precision. - Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and demonstrate courtesy and teamwork. - Comfortable with physical handling of items that may be heavy or large, using appropriate equipment and following safety rules. Required Education & Certifications: - Current university student (any program). - Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous. - Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
