Job Description

**Job Title:** Configuration Manager **Role Summary:** Provide technical leadership and support to the Configuration Management team, ensuring accurate configuration data, effective process delivery, and strong collaboration across IT functions on a 12‑month contract. **Expactations:** - Deliver end‑to‑end configuration management services within the agreed timeframe. - Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to review and enhance CI processes. - Apply industry‑standard tools and best practices to support configuration control. - Communicate findings and progress clearly to senior management and project teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Maintain and update configuration management databases (CMDB) ensuring integrity and accuracy. - Define and enforce configuration identification, control, status accounting, and audit procedures. - Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate change management with configuration management. - Review and improve existing configuration management processes, documenting procedures and templates. - Provide technical assistance and guidance to the Configuration Management team on tool usage and methodology. - Conduct regular configuration audits and produce reports on compliance and deviation. - Support incident and problem management by providing configuration data and lineage information. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency with configuration management tools (e.g., ServiceNow CMDB, Asset Management, Ansible, Puppet, Chef). - Strong understanding of configuration and change management processes (ITIL, ISO 20000). - Ability to analyze complex systems and map configuration items to business services. - Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder‑management skills. - Analytical mindset with attention to detail and data integrity. - Experience leading or supporting a configuration management team. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Certification such as ITIL® Foundation (or equivalent), Configuration Management Professional (CMP), or a related ITIL certification preferred. ---
