Job Description
**Job title:** Systems Engineering & Assurance Manager **Role Summary:** Lead and assure the technical delivery of complex safety, security, and networking integrations for highly regulated public‑services projects. Serve as the technical authority across the V‑Model lifecycle, ensuring integrated solutions (CCTV, access control, situational awareness, etc.) meet all safety, security, and regulatory requirements, are fully verified, and comply with industry standards. **Expectations:** - Own end‑to‑end System Engineering from requirements capture through Verification & Validation (V&V). - Act as SME on building safety, rail, aviation, and cyber‑security regulations. - Ensure rigorous configuration, change, interface, and quality management across multidisciplinary teams. - Deliver compliant Design Compliance Reports and audit activities per ISO 9001 and relevant functional‑safety standards. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. **Requirements & Design Management** – capture, analyze, and document stakeholder & regulatory requirements; maintain Requirements Traceability Matrix. 2. **System Architecture** – develop high‑level and low‑level designs ensuring interoperability of hardware, software, and network layers. 3. **Discipline Interface Management** – coordinate with Safety & Security, Networking, Civils, M&E to resolve design clashes early. 4. **Configuration & Change Management** – enforce strict control; assess safety/security impact for every change. 5. **Verification, Validation & Assurance** – define V&V strategy; prepare and execute FAT, SIT, SAT test plans and reports. 6. **Safety & Quality Assurance** – champion functional safety (IEC 61508, ISO 26262 where applicable); uphold ISO 9001 quality framework. 7. **Cyber Assurance** – integrate cyber‑security hardening; align with Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001 constraints. 8. **Regulatory & Standards Compliance** – ensure adherence to Building Safety Act 2022 (Golden Thread), TfL/Network Rail, DfT CAA guidelines, and client contract obligations. **Required Skills:** - Proficient in V‑Model Systems Engineering and requirements traceability. - System architecture design (high & low level). - Interface and configuration management across multidisciplinary engineering. - Verification & Validation planning and execution (FAT, SIT, SAT). - Functional safety engineering (IEC 61508/IEC 61511, ISO 26262). - Quality management (ISO 9001). - Cyber‑security assurance (Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001). - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder communication. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field. - Minimum 5–7 years of progressive Systems Engineering or Assurance experience in safety‑critical environments. - Certifications: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (preferred), Functional Safety (e.g., ISO 26262 Lead Auditor or IEC 61508), Cybersecurity (Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001).

Provides on‑site technical support, first‑time fixes, and customer advisory services while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and information security standards. Operates as part of a 24/7 on‑call rota and participates in mentored training for career progression. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑quality installations and maintenance within agreed service levels. - Perform work independently and as part of a team, adapting to lone‑working and reactive call‑outs. - Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to company and regulatory standards. - Advise customers on product improvements and system efficiencies. **Key Responsibilities** 1.
