Job Title: Product Director – Agentic Commerce
Role Summary: Drive end‑to‑end product strategy, execution, and commercial success for AI‑native home‑services commerce. Own the full P&L across energy, bills, broadband, and insurance categories, build and mentor a high‑performance PM team, and transform the organization’s product development into an AI‑first, outcomes‑driven process that delivers market‑leading user experience, conversion, and profitability.
Expactations:
- Own commercial performance, hitting conversion and revenue targets within 3–12 months.
- Scale product org, hiring functional PMs and fostering an empowered, velocity‑centric culture.
- Deliver AI‑enabled commerce journeys across multiple categories and lead the company toward Series B or profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own product roadmap prioritisation, balancing AI, consumer, and B2B initiatives.
- Define and operationalise AI‑native product management playbooks, enabling PMs to set outcomes rather than write tickets.
- Lead cross‑functional squads (Design, Engineering/AI) to launch high‑leverage features increasing conversion and unit economics.
- Own P&L for each category: capture revenue, manage margins, analyse leakage, and identify growth opportunities.
- Conduct deep product audits, analyse user journeys, and use behavioural data to iterate rapidly.
- Establish operating rhythms, decision frameworks, and accountability structures with design and engineering leaders.
- Recruit, onboard, and coach the first product manager; set hiring standards for future PM talent.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, communicate progress to executives and investors, and influence board‑level discussions.
- Champion AI adoption across the product stack, ensuring AI solutions accelerate insight, decision, and execution.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience owning P&L and commercial outcomes (revenue, conversion, margin) in a B2C or B2B2C marketplace/ecommerce context.
- Demonstrated product leadership: built and scaled PM teams, delivered high‑impact features that boosted key metrics.
- Deep understanding of supplier/partner integrations, real‑time pricing and inventory systems.
- Strong analytical ability: unit economics, conversion funnels, data‑driven decision making.
- Ability to operate in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments; bias toward rapid execution and learning.
- Comfortable speaking with executives and presenting in board‑room settings; strategic and tactical duality.
- Passion for AI as a transformational tool; hands‑on familiarity with AI‑enabled product development.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influence skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- No specific certifications required; expertise in product management frameworks (OKR, KPI, Agile) preferred.
