Job Title: Experienced Python Engineer - Healthcare AI Platform
Job Description: Job Title: Experienced Python Engineer – Healthcare AI Platform Role Summary: Senior backend engineer leading the complete rewrite and future AI‑driven components of a health‑tech platform. Own end‑to‑end domains, deliver high‑quality code, and shape technical direction in a fast‑moving startup. Expectations: * Take full ownership of assigned domains and deliver production‑ready code. * Work independently with minimal supervision while aligning with the small team. * Thrive in an ambiguous environment, handling shifting priorities and multiple hats. Key Responsibilities: * Complete the platform rewrite using FastAPI, PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, Redis, and Terraform‑managed GCP infrastructure. * Design, develop, and deploy a consult‑planning, organization, and intelligent follow‑up system (Months 3‑6). * Integrate large‑language models, RAG, and automation workflows to reduce manual coach effort (Month 6+). * Write efficient SQL queries and maintain data models. * Collaborate with product managers and founders to set technical priorities. * Occasionally touch Vue 3 frontend for integration or debugging tasks. Required Skills: * 3+ years professional Python development. * Strong FastAPI (or Flask/Django) experience. * Proficient with relational databases, ORMs (SQLAlchemy preferred), and SQL writing. * Familiarity with Redis, PostgreSQL, and GCP. * Basic Terraform knowledge for infrastructure. * Comfortable with full‑stack touchpoints, including occasional Vue 3 and modern JS. * Excellent communication in English; Dutch is a plus. * Self‑starter who can own domains and communicate with stakeholders. Nice to Have: * Experience with LLM integration (OpenAI, Anthropic), prompt engineering, RAG, or agent workflows. * Proven work on zero‑to‑one system builds in early‑stage startups. * Health tech or data‑intensive domain exposure. Required Education & Certifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). * Relevant certifications (e.g., GCP Cloud Developer, AWS Certified Developer) are a plus but not mandatory.
