Job Description
**Job Title:** Senior Privacy Officer **Role Summary:** Lead and support the Data Privacy Program within a global CRO, acting as the primary expert on privacy, data protection, and compliance for GxP and other regulated processes. **Expectations:** - Deliver end‑to‑end privacy program administration, ensuring alignment with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA, and other applicable laws. - Develop, review, and maintain privacy policies, notices, and procedural documents. - Drive privacy training, incident tracking, and breach response in collaboration with legal, IT, security, HR, and compliance functions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Oversee organization‑wide privacy program documentation and administration. - Respond to data subject access, deletion, and correction requests in accordance with relevant legislation. - Evaluate Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and vendor privacy questionnaires; provide recommendations. - Monitor and verify adherence to data protection regulations across all business units. - Contribute to and execute privacy training initiatives and awareness campaigns. - Track privacy incidents, draft breach response plans, and coordinate mitigation activities. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (legal, IT, security, HR, compliance) on privacy matters. **Required Skills:** - Deep knowledge of data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA, etc.). - Strong analytical and evaluation skills for PIAs and privacy questionnaires. - Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to produce clear policies and training materials. - Discretion and proficiency in handling sensitive information. - Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational capability. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., law, information security, or business). - Minimum 4 years of experience in privacy, data protection, compliance, or a related discipline. - Demonstrated history of implementing privacy programs, conducting assessments, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
