**Job title**
Head of AI & Automation
**Role Summary**
Lead the creation, governance, and scaling of AI and automation capabilities within a highly regulated financial services organization. Establish an AI & Automation Hub/Centre of Excellence, design responsible adoption frameworks, and drive early high‑impact use cases (e.g., M365 Copilot, Power Platform) to build credibility and momentum.
**Expectations**
- Build a defensible, scalable AI & automation operating model.
- Deliver secure, commercially meaningful solutions with clear controls.
- Scale capability in line with Data Governance, Information Security and Technology Risk.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Establish and operate the AI & Automation Hub / Centre of Excellence.
- Design and enforce governance, guardrails and delivery standards.
- Prioritise and deliver automation use cases (Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio, etc.) from design to production.
- Define product roadmaps, backlog, and prioritisation models.
- Engage stakeholders across Information Security, Risk, Architecture and business units.
- Ensure integration, scalability, testing, and BAU transition of solutions.
- Provide strategic direction while performing hands‑on solution design when required.
**Required Skills**
- Proven leadership in AI, Automation, or Innovation within financial services or a similarly regulated environment.
- Deep understanding of AI solution design, responsible adoption, and governance.
- Practical experience delivering production automation on Microsoft Power Platform or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and modern workplace technologies.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, influence, and risk‑balancing skills.
- Ability to create product roadmaps, capability backlogs, and prioritisation frameworks.
- Experience setting operational standards across design, build, test, and BAU.
- Strategic insight paired with hands‑on solution design competence.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Preferred certifications: Microsoft Power Platform (e.g., Power Platform Fundamentals, Power Platform App Maker Associate) and/or AI or Automation certifications.
- Demonstrated experience establishing or running a Centre of Excellence / Hub model (preferred).
