Job Description
**Job Title** Senior Counsel (Think Tank) – 6 Month FTC **Role Summary** Senior legal advisor for an international non‑profit think tank, providing expert counsel on commercial, employment, AI and compliance matters across the EMEA region. Responsible for drafting and negotiating grant/funding agreements, managing external counsel on corporate issues, and supervising junior legal staff. **Expectations** - Minimum 6 years post‑qualification legal experience. - Proven commercial law expertise, preferably from a top‑tier law firm. - Ability to deliver high‑quality advice in a fast‑moving, multi‑jurisdictional environment. - Strong stakeholder management and leadership of external counsel and junior team members. **Key Responsibilities** - Advise on commercial, employment, AI and regulatory compliance issues for EMEA operations. - Draft, review, and negotiate grant and funding agreements. - Oversee and coordinate external counsel on corporate matters. - Manage and mentor paralegals or junior legal counsel. - Ensure alignment of legal strategy with the think tank’s objectives and compliance obligations. **Required Skills** - Commercial law expertise (contract negotiation, corporate governance). - Experience with grant/funding agreements and AI‑related regulatory frameworks. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Effective communication and stakeholder management. - Leadership experience supervising junior legal staff and managing external law firms. **Required Education & Certifications** - Law degree (LL.B., J.D., or equivalent). - Qualified solicitor/advocate (or equivalent) in the relevant jurisdiction.
