**Job Title**
Functional Analyst – Energy Sector
**Role Summary**
Translate business needs of energy market actors (TSO, DSO, suppliers, traders, producers) into actionable technical specifications. Facilitate communication between business and technical teams, model processes, manage incidents/change requests, and support system integration, testing, and documentation.
**Expectations**
- Deliver clear, measurable requirements for IT solutions
- Ensure alignment of solutions with business operations and market regulations
- Maintain rigorous documentation and knowledge sharing across teams
**Key Responsibilities**
- Interact with stakeholders to capture operational needs and clarify objectives
- Model processes, flows, and use cases using UML and BPMN
- Analyse, document, and formalise requests, incidents, problems, and change management activities (ITIL framework)
- Write functional specifications for IT teams
- Participate in design reviews, testing, integration, and rollout of system enhancements
- Update and maintain project documentation and knowledge bases (Confluence, Jira, Topdesk)
- Facilitate cross‑functional communication among business users, architects, developers, and operators
**Required Skills**
- 3–8 years as a functional or business analyst, preferably in energy or related domains
- Proficiency in process modelling (UML, BPMN), SQL querying, and Jira/Confluence administration
- Experience with incident, problem, and change management (ITIL)
- Familiarity with BPM optimisation, data analysis, and service‑management tools (Topdesk, Jira, Confluence)
- Understanding of IT architectures: APIs, databases, batch processes
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills in French and Dutch (native level); proficient English required
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- ITIL Foundation certification (preferred)
- Scrum or Agile product management certification (preferred)
