Job title: Lead DevOps Engineer
Role Summary
Lead and architect the DevOps organization to support rapid, secure, and scalable product delivery. Own the assessment, design, and implementation of CI/CD pipelines, AWS infrastructure, and security governance, while driving continuous improvement, standardization, and team competency across development squads.

* Transition the organization from fragmented practices to a unified, mature DevOps culture.
Key Responsibilities
* **DevOps Maturity Assessment** – Conduct a comprehensive audit of current pipelines, tools, and practices; identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
* **Strategic Roadmap** – Define and communicate a unified DevOps strategy, governance framework, and best‑practice playbooks for all development teams.
* **CI/CD Pipeline Engineering** – Optimize GitHub Actions flows, implement secret management, integrate SonarQube, Aikido, and OWASP recommendations; reduce build times, automate tests, and enforce quality gates.
* **AWS Infrastructure Management** – Own IAM, ECS, KMS, Security Hub, GuardDuty, monitoring, cost controls; enforce security hardening, compliance, and scalability.
* **IaC & Automation** – Author and maintain Terraform modules for environment provisioning; harmonize deployment practices across teams.
* **Team Enablement & Coaching** – Design and deliver workshops, pair‑programming sessions, and documentation to elevate DevOps maturity; facilitate cross‑team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
* **Metrics & Governance** – Establish lightweight KPIs, dev‑ops rituals, and reporting mechanisms to track progress toward agreed standards.
Required Skills
* Proven experience (5+ years) in end‑to‑end DevOps engineering, including CI/CD architecture and automation.
* Deep expertise with GitHub Actions, Terraform, and IaC principles.
* Hands‑on experience with AWS services: IAM, ECS, KMS, Security Hub, GuardDuty, CloudWatch, and cost‑management tools.
* Strong security mindset: implementation of OWASP, DevSecOps practices, secret management, and secure configuration.
* Familiarity with quality tools such as SonarQube, Aikido, and automated testing frameworks.
* Leadership and mentorship capabilities; excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
Required Education & Certifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
* AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional (preferred).
* AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional (preferred).
* Optional: Certifications in CI/CD tooling, DevSecOps, or ISO27001 (lead auditor) – highly regarded.
