Job Description

Job Title: Contract Senior Python Engineer Role Summary: Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable backend services on Google Cloud, focusing on high‑volume data processing and AI‑enabled platforms for enterprise clients. Expectations: • Own end‑to‑end delivery of core backend features from architecture to production. • Demonstrate strong commercial experience in Python with asynchronous patterns. • Exhibit deep familiarity with GCP services, event‑driven architecture, and modern CI/CD practices. Key Responsibilities: • Design and maintain RESTful APIs using Python, FastAPI, and Pydantic. • Build and operate event‑driven systems on GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud Tasks, Pub/Sub, Cloud Datastore). • Develop batch processing and aggregation pipelines; optimize query performance. • Manage containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines (GCP Cloud Build). • Integrate AI components (LLMs via Vertex AI). • Implement test‑driven development with extensive unit test coverage. • Ensure system scalability, reliability, and maintainability across distributed environments. Required Skills: • Advanced Python (asyncio, FastAPI, Pydantic). • Google Cloud Platform: Cloud Run, Cloud Tasks, Pub/Sub, Cloud Datastore, Cloud Build, Container Registry. • Distributed and event‑driven system design. • Docker and container orchestration. • CI/CD pipeline maintenance. • AI integration with Vertex AI/LLMs. • Test‑driven development, unit testing, code quality standards. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (preferred). • Google Cloud certifications (Professional Cloud Developer/Architect) or equivalent experience.
