Job Description
Job title: Automation Engineer Role Summary: Responsible for safe, efficient, and compliant management of industrial automation hardware and software across multiple sites, supporting project engineers, maintaining supplier and regulatory relationships, and leading risk assessment workshops. Expactations: Must work independently, demonstrate strong communication in Dutch and English, be customer‑oriented, coordinate effectively across functions, and apply technical expertise to improve system operation. Key Responsibilities: • Assist site teams in the management of installed OT systems and infrastructure. • Draft and review project specifications, maintenance procedures, and operational manuals. • Liaise with suppliers, auditors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with industry standards and cybersecurity requirements. • Coordinate with central and local engineering teams, sharing knowledge and best practices. • Conduct and moderate risk assessment workshops focused on system architecture and operation. • Provide ongoing support and training to site personnel, enhancing system reliability and safety. Required Skills: • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in industrial automation or related field. • Proficiency in Dutch and English (written and spoken). • Strong technical understanding of electromechanics, electronics, and ICT. • Excellent coordination, documentation, and communication abilities. • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex automation systems. Required Education & Certifications: • Master’s degree in Electromechanics, Electronics, Automation, or ICT. • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ISA‑IEC 62443, cybersecurity awareness) are a plus but not mandatory.
