Job Description
**Job Title** Senior Cyber Security Engineer (Assurance) **Role Summary** Lead security engineering for Operational Technology projects in rail infrastructure. Own risk assessment, architecture design, testing, and assurance across the delivery lifecycle, ensuring compliance with IEC 62443, CENELEC, NIS/NIS2, EU CRA, and TS 50701 standards. **Expectations** - Deliver end‑to‑end security for signalling, control, electrification, SCADA, and station systems. - Develop and maintain security requirements, plans, and test strategies. - Mentor junior engineers and influence cross‑functional teams. - Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory changes. **Key Responsibilities** - Engage client security teams to integrate organizational risk appetite. - Specify, document, and monitor security requirements under industry regulations. - Design system zoning, conduits, and controls to meet protection goals. - Conduct threat & risk analyses, define countermeasures, and evaluate third‑party components. - Compile and review security artefacts throughout development. - Verify compliance via system, factory, and site acceptance testing. - Perform and validate penetration tests, identify vulnerabilities, and evaluate remediation. - Represent security at project milestones, stage‑gate reviews, and incident responses. - Capture lessons learned to drive continuous improvement. **Required Skills** - Leadership and project management in OT security environments. - Deep knowledge of IEC 62443 and CENELEC standards. - Experience with risk assessment, threat modeling, and security testing (penetration, FATO). - Ability to develop security architectures, zoning, and control frameworks. - Strong communication, stakeholder influence, and mentoring capabilities. **Required Education & Certifications** - Degree or equivalent in engineering, science, or related quantitative field. - Certifications preferred: CISSP, CSSLP, or CESG Certified Professional (CCP).
