**Job Title** Junior DotNet Developer **Role Summary** Associate‑level .NET Developer on a 2‑year FTC. Responsible for building and maintaining web APIs and applications as part of a large public‑sector digital transformation programme. **Expactations** - Deliver clean, test‑driven .NET code that meets functional and performance requirements. - Collaborate with senior developers and across blended squads to solve technical problems. - Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and documentation. - Continuously improve skills in clean architecture, enterprise integration, and cloud‑native practices. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and maintain ASP.NET Core web APIs and applications. - Write and execute unit and integration tests; maintain test coverage. - Query and manipulate data using SQL and Entity Framework Core. - Use Git for version control; create branches, commits, and pull requests. - Consume and produce RESTful services; handle HTTP verbs, status codes and JSON. - Resolve defects, analyse error logs, and collaborate with team to troubleshoot. - Contribute to Agile plans, stand‑ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives. **Required Skills** - C# fundamentals (classes, interfaces, collections, async/await). - ASP.NET Core (basic API or web app development). - SQL basics (table design, joins, simple queries). - Git workflow (branching, commits, pull requests). - Unit testing (e.g., xUnit/MSTest). - REST API concepts (HTTP verbs, status codes, JSON). - Problem‑solving and communication skills. **Desirable Skills** - Entity Framework Core or similar ORM. - Code review participation. - LINQ, Dependency Injection. - Docker containers. - Cloud provider exposure (Azure/AWS/GCP). - TypeScript/JavaScript front‑end awareness. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field *or* equivalent practical experience. - No mandatory certifications required.
