Job Description
Job title: Operations Business Analyst – Post‑Trade (Calypso Expertise) Role Summary: Business analyst responsible for optimizing post‑trade operations, leading Calypso system enhancements, and ensuring regulatory compliance within a fast‑growing trading environment. Expectations: - 5+ years of post‑trade operations analysis at a broker‑dealer, investment bank, or FCA‑regulated institution. - Deep expertise in Calypso (functional and technical). - Knowledge of FCA and EU regulatory regimes (MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR). - Proven track record in process documentation, re‑engineering, and operational improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as post‑trade subject matter expert across lifecycle. - Lead design, testing, and implementation of Calypso system enhancements and operational workflows. - Translate business requirements into clear, actionable system specifications for Operations, Compliance, Technology, and Front Office teams. - Conduct root‑cause analysis and develop scalable solutions to streamline exception management. - Support new product launches and market expansion initiatives from an operational and systems perspective. Required Skills: - Business analysis, requirement elicitation, and process mapping. - Advanced Calypso configuration, testing, and deployment. - Strong understanding of regulatory reporting and compliance frameworks (MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR). - Analytical problem solving with focus on root‑cause analysis. - Effective communication with technical and business stakeholders. - Project management and documentation proficiency. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related field. - Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, Calypso certification, regulatory compliance certifications) preferred.
