**Job title:** Cloud Operations Manager
**Role Summary:**
Lead a distributed Cloud Operations and DevOps team to ensure 24/7 availability, performance, security, and a superior customer experience for global SaaS products. Responsibilities include incident leadership, cloud strategy execution, automation, budget oversight, and cross‑functional influence within product, architecture, and security teams.
**Expectations:**
- Direct a team of Live Service Specialists; act as a senior member of the Cloud Operations management group.
- Deliver world‑class, future‑proof cloud services meeting ISO and security standards.
- Drive innovative automation, continuous improvement, and cost‑effective solutions.
- Manage high‑pressure major incidents with balanced technical and stakeholder communication.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Service Reliability & Performance** – monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize global cloud services to achieve targets for uptime, performance, and security.
2. **Incident & Problem Management** – lead critical incidents, orchestrate technical resolution, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
3. **Team Leadership & Growth** – recruit, coach, and evaluate a geographically dispersed DevOps team; foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
4. **Strategic Cloud Design** – influence product delivery teams on deployment, architecture, monitoring, and automation; ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
5. **Budget & Commercial Management** – own operating budgets, identify savings, and perform cost allocation across teams.
6. **Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement** – produce detailed performance reports; present findings to senior executives and cross‑functional partners.
7. **Innovation & Automation** – champion cutting‑edge tools and practices that reduce manual effort and improve service quality.
**Required Skills:**
- Cloud platform expertise (AWS, Azure, GCP) with hands‑on operations.
- DevOps fundamentals: CI/CD, configuration management, containerization, infrastructure as code.
- Incident management frameworks (ITIL, SRE practices).
- Strong leadership, people management, and coaching capabilities.
- Commercial acumen and budget stewardship.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and influence at all levels.
- Knowledge of security standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2) and compliance.
- Proficiency in monitoring, alerting, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect / Azure/Azure Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or equivalent DevOps certifications (CDA, CDP).
- ITIL Foundation (preferred); additional security or compliance certifications (ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, SOC 2) highly valued.
