Job title: Cloud Engineer (Azure & Kubernetes)
Role Summary: Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud solutions, focusing on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), PaaS, SQL, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high‑performance cloud services, and optimize existing AKS environments.
Expectations: Deliver robust, secure, and resilient cloud architectures; maintain and evolve security controls, IAM, and key management; support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices; stay current with Azure, Kubernetes, and cloud‑native tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Azure cloud architecture using PaaS, SQL, and AKS.
- Deploy and manage Azure resources using IaC (Terraform, ARM templates, etc.).
- Configure, secure, and optimize AKS clusters, including container lifecycle, scaling, and resilience.
- Implement and maintain cloud security controls, IAM policies, and key management across Azure.
- Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams on CI/CD pipelines, security best practices, and monitoring.
- Integrate cloud solutions with other systems and applications.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides for cloud operations.
- Keep up‑to‑date with Azure, Kubernetes, and security advancements; evaluate new tools and services.
Required Skills:
- Advanced Azure cloud engineering and administration experience.
- Hands‑on expertise with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and related operations.
- Proficiency in IaC tools (e.g., Terraform) for Azure deployments.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, IAM, key management, and monitoring.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design and DevOps tooling.
- Experience with Docker containerisation and Kubernetes container lifecycle.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ‑104, AZ‑303, AZ‑304, AZ‑400) are a bonus but not mandatory; relevant vendor‑agnostic cloud certifications acceptable.
