**Job title:** Technical Technologist – Customer & Food Safety **Role Summary:** Provide technical support to the Technical Manager in ensuring high-quality, food‑safe fresh produce. Manage client relationships, identify improvement opportunities, and safeguard brand integrity through proactive technical interventions and continuous process optimization. **Expectations:** - Deliver reliable, detail‑oriented technical solutions within operational shifts (Monday‑Friday, on‑call rota). - Maintain stringent food safety standards and adhere to all regulatory requirements. - Collaborate cross‑functionally to embed best practices and brand values. **Key Responsibilities:** - Serve as first‑line technical liaison for customers, addressing inquiries and troubleshooting technical issues. - Conduct product quality inspections, process audits, and data analysis to identify risks and improvement areas. - Recommend and implement corrective actions, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000). - Support continuous improvement initiatives, documenting lessons learned and contributing to standard operating procedures. - Protect brand reputation by promptly resolving quality or safety incidents and communicating resolutions to stakeholders. - Participate in scheduled on‑call rota, ensuring 24/7 availability for critical issues. **Required Skills:** - Strong technical acumen in food safety, microbiology, or quality control. - Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills. - Effective communication and customer‑service orientation. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in dynamic settings. - Attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Engineering, or related field. - Certification in HACCP, ISO 22000, or equivalent preferred. ---
