Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior TypeScript Engineer (Backend) **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and operate production‑grade backend services for a mission‑critical platform serving financial and institutional clients. Focus on distributed systems, reliability, and scalable data pipelines using TypeScript and modern cloud technologies. **Expectations:** - Deliver end‑to‑end solutions from architecture to deployment and monitoring. - Influence technical direction and make decisions on service design and scalability. - Ensure high availability, performance, and operational resilience of backend services. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate third‑party systems and evolving APIs. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design clean, modular service architectures and data transformation pipelines. - Implement backend services using TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, and Kubernetes on AWS. - Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests. - Deploy services, set up observability (metrics, logging, tracing), and maintain operational health. - Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance. - Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and mentorship of junior engineers. **Required Skills:** - Expert proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js. - Strong experience with PostgreSQL and Redis. - Hands‑on experience with AWS services, Docker, and Kubernetes. - Deep understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and reliability engineering. - Ability to design and implement data pipelines and API integrations. - Proficient in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring tools. - Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Kubernetes Certified Administrator) are a plus but not mandatory.
