Job Description
Job Title Freelance End Point Assessor – Digital Engineering Technician Role Summary Conduct independent End Point Assessments for the Digital Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard, ensuring compliance with NOCN quality assurance and assessment instruments while maintaining professional conduct, GDPR compliance, and timely reporting. Expectations * Meet at least two of the specified criteria (qualifications, experience, or professional membership). * Maintain current industry knowledge and Continuous Professional Development (CPD). * Build rapport with apprentices to facilitate effective assessment. * Adhere to NOCN’s service level agreements and internal quality assurance procedures. Key Responsibilities * Assess apprentices against Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours (KSBs) through work‑based projects, portfolios, and panel interviews. * Identify and document KSB gaps and develop recommendations. * Prepare, submit, and upload assessment reports within agreed timelines. * Serve as a professional representative of NOCN during assessments. * Moderate colleague assessors’ work to uphold assessment quality. * Ensure data security and GDPR compliance. Required Skills * Strong knowledge of CAD/BIM tools and industry standards. * Ability to evaluate technical tasks, analyse evidence, and deliver objective assessments. * Effective communication, rapport‑building, and interview facilitation skills. * Time‑management and organisational abilities for remote, freelance work. * Familiarity with assessment frameworks and quality assurance protocols. Required Education & Certifications * Level 3 Assessor qualification (or working toward it). * Minimum of 3 years in digital engineering or related profession. * Technician‑level professional membership of a relevant institution (e.g., BCS, RICS, ICE). * Evidence of 3 years in CAD/BIM application (tools and standards). * Construction/Built Environment discipline qualification, minimum HNC.
