Job Description

**Job Title:** FS Regulatory Disputes Partner **Role Summary:** Advise financial institutions and individuals on complex regulatory enforcement, financial services disputes, and compliance matters. Shape regulatory policy and manage high-stakes investigations. **Expectations:** Deep expertise in financial services regulation, dispute resolution, and regulatory investigations. Requires leadership in advising clients on sensitive, high-value matters and contributing to policy development. **Key Responsibilities:** - Advise on disputes involving banks, hedge funds, loan claims, and mis-selling allegations. - Manage Financial Ombudsman complaints (e.g., insurance, legal protection policies). - Lead regulatory investigations for regulators and financial institutions (deposit takers, insurers). - Oversee redress programs post-FCA Final Notices; coordinate customer communications and submissions. - Guide executives through regulatory interviews, approvals, and compliance requirements. - Develop regulatory policies (e.g., Bank of England EDMC) and draft consultation papers/statements. - Address data protection disputes, collaborating with internal teams and the ICO. - Conduct internal investigations, regulatory reviews, and respond to Production Orders. - Advise on consumer credit, financial crime, and anti-money laundering protocols. **Required Skills:** Financial regulations (FCA, BoE), dispute resolution, regulatory investigations, data protection law (GDPR/ICO), policy development, compliance frameworks, consumer credit/insurance, and cross-sector negotiation. **Required Education & Certifications:** Law degree or financial services qualification. Professional accreditation in relevant financial regulation (e.g., ICAEW, CFA) or legal practice license.
