Job title: IT Business Reporting Analyst
Role Summary:
The IT Business Reporting Analyst is responsible for maintaining, improving, and monitoring the company’s data infrastructure and reporting solutions. The role involves gathering business requirements, managing a development backlog, overseeing third‑party data warehouse providers, and providing second‑line support for data warehouse and infrastructure issues. The analyst collaborates with IT and enterprise teams to design, develop, and document data models, ETL pipelines, and BI dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and delivering actionable insights to support forecasting, operations, and strategic decisions.
Expactations:
- Deliver high‑quality reporting solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain a prioritized backlog of requirements and coordinate development activities.
- Provide proactive incident management and resolution for data‑related issues.
- Serve as a key liaison between business users and technical teams.
- Continuously evaluate emerging analytics technologies and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and document data architecture and strategy with Enterprise Applications Manager.
- Manage relationships with third‑party data warehouse providers.
- Gather, validate, and prioritize business requirements; create detailed backlog items.
- Design, develop, and maintain data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and other reporting tools.
- Prepare Runbooks and obtain sign‑off for planned and incident‑driven system changes.
- Provide second‑line support for data warehouse and infrastructure incidents.
- Produce user guides, documentation, and training materials for reporting solutions.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, tools, and best practices in analytics and reporting.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience as a reporting analyst or similar role in an IT environment.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Strong experience with BI and data visualization tools, preferably Power BI.
- Knowledge of data modeling, ETL, and data warehousing concepts.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and operations.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills in English.
- Proactive, self‑motivated, and detail oriented.
- Retail or QSR business process experience is an advantage.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, SQL, data warehousing) are a plus.
