Job Description
Job title: Cyber Security Specialist Role Summary: Define, implement, and govern the group-wide cybersecurity strategy, ensuring compliance, risk management, and resilience across all entities. Serve as the single accountability owner for cybersecurity, policy development, incident response, and third‑party risk oversight. Expectations: Deliver a cohesive, proactive cybersecurity posture that meets legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements; demonstrate measurable improvement in risk registers and incident metrics; provide transparent reporting to senior leadership and the board. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain the overall cybersecurity strategy and roadmap for the group. - Establish and enforce group‑level security policies, standards, and minimum controls. - Lead cyber risk assessments, maintain risk registers, and devise treatment plans. - Govern performance via SLAs, KPIs, and service reviews of internal teams and MSSPs. - Direct major cyber incident response and executive communication during crises. - Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, legal obligations, and contractual security clauses. - Oversee third‑party and supply chain security risk management. - Support business continuity and cyber resilience planning. - Provide regular cyber risk and posture reporting to senior management and the board. Required Skills: - Cybersecurity strategy and governance - Enterprise risk management - Vendor and MSSP management - Incident and crisis management - Policy development, compliance, and audit oversight - Strong communication with senior leadership Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master’s preferred) - 10+ years experience in IT/Information Security; 5+ years in senior cybersecurity, governance, or risk leadership - Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CRISC; ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor; Cloud security certification (CCSP, AWS/Azure Security)
