Job Title: Jira Administrator
Role Summary:
Maintain and optimize Jira Service Management cloud environments, configuring projects, workflows, automations, and integrations to support efficient IT service delivery aligned with ITIL practices.
Expectations:
- Deliver stable, high‑performance JSM systems.
- Continuously improve processes and documentation.
- Act as the primary technical liaison for JSM users and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer JSM cloud instances, managing projects, request types, workflows, screens, fields, SLAs, queues, and customer portals.
- Configure user access, roles, groups, and permissions.
- Develop and maintain automation rules and REST API integrations with Confluence, monitoring tools, and custom services.
- Monitor system performance, usage, and health; troubleshoot and provide tier‑2 support.
- Design and maintain reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
- Lead upgrades, migrations, and feature rollouts, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and enforce compliance with organisational standards.
- Maintain configuration and process documentation.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years in IT industry with 5+ years administering Jira Service Management.
- Expertise in Jira configuration: workflows, schemes, permissions, SLAs, and queues.
- Proficient with Jira automation, Groovy/Python/JavaScript scripting, and ScriptRunner/Insight plugins.
- Strong REST API and integration experience.
- Solid understanding of ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
- Excellent problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Atlassian certifications such as ACP‑120, ACP‑420, or equivalent.
