Job title: Industrial Engineer II
Role Summary: 24‑month onsite contract requiring hands‑on engineering leadership in a fast‑paced lab and inventory environment. Leverages automation, data analytics, and continuous improvement to design workflows, enhance space utilization, and maintain documentation for long‑term sustainability.
Expactations: Deliver measurable process efficiencies, maintain clear project status, and share insights via an eLearning or skills management platform.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead automation integration and system design for automated inventory systems (Daifuku, Kardex VLMs) and low‑code platforms (Power BI, Power Automate, QuickBase).
• Design and maintain operational databases, perform SQL/Python analysis, and support SAP/MRP/ERP reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement projects (lab space planning, 5S, inventory flow, facilities upgrades) using structured problem‑solving and project management tools.
• Coordinate with facilities and ergonomics teams to optimize material flow, workstation design, and compliance with ISO standards.
• Produce and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and eLearning content to capture best practices.
• Facilitate cross‑functional workshops, walkthroughs, and problem‑solving sessions; maintain on‑site presence.
• Manage up to five concurrent projects, tracking milestones, risks, and deliverables.
Required Skills:
• 3+ years industrial engineering experience with proven continuous improvement project leads.
• Hands‑on expertise in automation/system integration (Daifuku, Kardex, low‑code platforms).
• Advanced data analytics skills: Power BI, Power Automate, SQL, Python, QuickBase.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP.
• Strong technical writing, documentation, and eLearning platform familiarity.
• Project management aptitude, multi‑tasking, communication, and influence.
Required Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience acceptable).
• Certifications in Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) or Lean preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC standards and ergonomics best practices.
