Job Description
Job title: Director of Strategy Consulting Role Summary: Lead the development and execution of client-facing strategy consulting services for a SaaS company, leveraging deep expertise in strategy and management consulting. Drive end‑to‑end consulting engagements, from ideation and proposal to delivery and client adoption, ensuring high quality outcomes and revenue growth. Expactations: Deliver actionable strategic solutions for clients in Financial Services; generate new consulting mandates; collaborate cross‑functionally with product, sales, and delivery teams; mentor a small consulting squad; report progress to senior leadership. Key Responsibilities: • Create and pitch comprehensive strategy consulting proposals to prospective and existing SaaS clients. • Own engagement lifecycles: needs assessment, research, framework development, recommendation, and implementation support. • Align consulting deliverables with the company’s core SaaS platform to enhance client adoption and value. • Build and maintain relationships with key Financial Services stakeholders and decision makers. • Guide a boutique consulting team, providing coaching on methodology, scoping, and delivery standards. • Track engagement metrics, forecast revenue, and contribute to the consulting business plan. Required Skills: • 8+ years of experience in strategy or management consulting, preferably in the SaaS or FinTech space. • Proven track record of originating, selling, and delivering external consulting mandates. • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with proficiency in data synthesis and narrative construction. • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to work collaboratively across product, engineering, and sales functions. • Project management experience and competence in driving adoption of recommendations. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field (preferred Master’s degree). • Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or relevant consulting qualifications are advantageous. • Knowledge of financial services regulatory environment and market dynamics preferred.
