Job Description
Job title: Cloud Sales Engineer Role Summary: Hybrid technical‑business role focused on guiding clients through the full lifecycle of cloud adoption—from needs assessment and presales to implementation and ongoing optimization—while acting as the primary point of contact on key accounts. Expectations: - Demonstrated expertise in cloud architecture (IaaS, PaaS, hybrid/multi‑cloud) and a solid commercial mindset. - Fluency in French (business level) and professional English. - Ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences and provide actionable recommendations that drive adoption and commercial value. Key Responsibilities: 1. Discovery & scoping: qualify technical and business requirements, design adoption roadmaps, and develop success plans per account. 2. Presales & RFP support: lead workshops and demos, prepare technical presentations, and contribute to bid responses (target architecture, prerequisites, risk analysis). 3. Adoption & implementation: guide onboarding (initial configuration, best practices, integration), produce documentation, and deliver follow‑up reports. 4. Account stewardship: act as the focal point for assigned clients, conduct usage reviews, recommend optimizations, and coordinate with Customer Success & Business Development throughout the value cycle. 5. Value & performance management: monitor usage, performance, and satisfaction metrics; propose cost optimisation, scalability, resilience, and security enhancements. 6. Escalation handling: provide technical qualification during incidents, recommend remediation and prevention plans, and communicate with internal and client stakeholders. 7. Internal coordination: mobilise engineering, product, and ops expertise as needed, capture, and share best practices. Required Skills: - Cloud architecture (compute, storage, networking, security/IAM) – IaaS, PaaS, hybrid/multi‑cloud. - Container and orchestration fundamentals (Docker, Kubernetes), serverless concepts, and automated deployment (CI/CD). - Infrastructure as Code with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent. - Monitoring, observability (logs, metrics, traces) and governance practices. - API and scripting (REST, Bash/Python/PowerShell) for rapid POCs. - Strong technical documentation: HLD/LLD, user guides. - Excellent communication, stakeholder credibility, and advisory posture for technical and non‑technical audiences. - Experience in presales, professional services, or technical customer success in a cloud environment. - Fluent French; professional level English. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Cloud certifications are highly desirable (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Architect, or equivalent).
