Job Title: Remote Senior Software Engineer
Role Summary: Evaluate, curate, and refine datasets for large language model training, building code examples and correcting code across Python, JavaScript (ReactJS), C/C++, Java, Rust, and Go. Construct agents to automatically verify code quality, identify error patterns, and benchmark AI-generated solutions against industry standards.
Expectations:
- Flexible contractor engagement, 10–40 hrs/week (minimum PST overlap).
- Minimum 1‑month commitment with potential extension.
- Eligible applicants must reside in the US, Canada, or WEU (UK, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
- Curate and build high‑quality code examples for AI training datasets.
- Evaluate and refine AI‑generated code to ensure efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
- Design and implement verification mechanisms for automated solution validation.
- Build agents that detect code quality issues and error patterns.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (researchers, product, engineering) to enhance AI‑driven coding solutions.
- Hypothesize and assess software engineering cycle stages (prototyping, architecture, API design, production, launch, experiments, monitoring, maintenance).
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, 2+ years full‑time at a top‑tier product company (Google, Samsung, Amazon, Apple, Meta, Netflix, Microsoft, Datadog, Shopify, PayPal, IBM Research, etc.).
- Expertise in full‑stack development and production‑grade deployment using modern languages/tools.
- Deep understanding of software architecture, design, debugging, and code quality assessment.
- Excellent written and oral communication for structured evaluation rationales.
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript (ReactJS), C/C++, Java, Rust, and Go.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
