**Job Title** Digital & Communications Manager **Role Summary** Lead and execute the organisation’s digital strategy across major social platforms, align communications with UK political events, and develop content that promotes a pro‑enterprise narrative. **Expectations** - Deliver evidence‑based digital campaigns that respond to parliamentary moments and the broader political news cycle. - Stimulate discussion, shape public debate, and expand the audience for a pro‑enterprise agenda. - Work collaboratively with internal teams to integrate digital initiatives into overall political messaging. **Key Responsibilities** 1. **Digital Strategy & Insight** - Design and implement a cross‑platform strategy (Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, emerging channels). - Apply a data‑driven approach: test ideas, track performance, and refine tactics. - Identify and seize amplification opportunities during key political moments. 2. **Communications & Engagement** - Develop a communications strategy that dovetails with political priorities. - Monitor media coverage, flag opportunities for timely commentary. - Craft consistent, clear narratives and lines‑to‑take across all media. - Produce briefing notes, talking points, newsletters, commentary, and opinion pieces. **Required Skills** - Proven experience in communications, campaigns, or media, preferably in politics, public affairs, think tanks or campaigning organisations. - Hands‑on expertise in social media management and content creation. - Strong written communication ability, covering short‑form social content to full briefing notes and speechwriting. - Strategic understanding of how political messages resonate with diverse audiences. - Comfortable with experimental digital methods; ability to test, analyse and iterate campaigns. - Keen interest in UK politics, policy, and current affairs. **Required Education & Certifications** - Degree in Communications, Journalism, Politics, Marketing, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience). - No mandatory certifications required; relevance to digital tools and analytics is highly valued.
