**Job Title:** Artificial Intelligence Engineer
**Role Summary:** Design, develop, and deploy production‑ready AI systems—including Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) chatbots and agentic AI—within life‑sciences settings to enhance patient access to treatments and support decision‑making processes.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver measurable AI solutions that influence clinical and evidence‑driven outcomes.
- Maintain high standards of reliability, security, and responsible AI throughout the product lifecycle.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Architect and implement end‑to‑end AI pipelines (data ingestion, training, retraining, deployment).
- Build and optimize RAG chatbots and agentic systems (tool usage, planning, multi‑step reasoning).
- Define and monitor evaluation metrics covering accuracy, latency, UX quality, safety, and real‑world utility.
- Integrate with product, software, and platform teams to deliver scalable, production‑ready solutions.
- Apply software engineering best practices—code reviews, testing, CI/CD, reproducibility.
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and responsible AI standards.
**Required Skills:**
- 3+ years in data science or software engineering with substantial AI experience.
- Proficient in Python; experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.).
- Expertise in GenAI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, Hugging Face Transformers).
- Practical knowledge of RAG pipelines, vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate), and chatbot deployment.
- Proven record in delivering production AI solutions, ideally in life‑sciences or evidence‑driven projects.
- Strong communication, ethics, bias mitigation, and responsible AI understanding.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related technical field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Machine Learning, Data Science, or AI ethics) are a plus.
