Job Description: **Job Title:** Software Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain software solutions for a manufacturing environment. Provide technical support and ensure applications meet business requirements while maintaining high quality and reliability. **Expectations:** - Deliver robust, maintainable code in a regulated manufacturing context. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external vendors. - Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety Act procedures. **Key Responsibilities:** - Plan, design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and document applications. - Modify and enhance existing applications. - Provide technical support to end users. - Build, maintain, and troubleshoot production and test web servers and database servers. - Develop application components that interface with peripherals (label printers, scanners). - Communicate with internal stakeholders and external product manufacturers. **Required Skills:** - ASP.NET (C# or VB.NET) with Entity Framework, LINQ, and SQL Server Reporting Services. - Microsoft Visual Studio, MySQL. - Web services, XML, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS. - Object‑oriented design and relational data modeling. - Subversion and Team Foundation Server (TFS) version control. - Strong attention to detail, analytical and mathematical skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Degree or diploma in Software Engineering or Software Development. - Minimum 5 years of experience as a software engineer, preferably in a manufacturing setting. - No specialized certifications required.
