**Job Title:** Google Cloud Engineer
**Role Summary:** Design, implement, and maintain end‑to‑end data architectures and pipelines on Google Cloud Platform, focusing on data lakes, data marts, warehouses, ELT/ETL workflows, and cloud infrastructure automation. Support data preparation for Vertex AI, generative AI pipelines, and vector database workflows.
**Expectations:**
- 5+ years of experience as a GCP and Big Data engineer.
- Proven track record delivering scalable data solutions on GCP.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Architect and build data lakes, marts, and warehouses on GCP.
- Develop and orchestrate pipelines using Dataflow, DataProc (Spark), Dataform, and Pub/Sub.
- Configure and manage Cloud Composer (Airflow) for workflow orchestration.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workflows with Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab CI.
- Maintain data quality, metadata, and lineage practices.
- Prepare and deliver ML-ready datasets for Vertex AI, Gemini, HuggingFace, and other platforms.
- Deploy vector database solutions and generative AI data pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and optimize performance of data and infrastructure components.
**Required Skills:**
- GCP services: BigQuery, Dataflow, DataProc, Dataform, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer.
- Programming: Python, SQL, Java (basic).
- ETL/ELT frameworks and Pandas, PySpark.
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, IaC best practices.
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI.
- Metadata, lineage, quality frameworks.
- ML data prep for Vertex AI, Gemini, HuggingFace, etc.
- Vector database experience (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate).
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Data Engineer, Cloud Architect) preferred.
