Job Description
Job title: Global Sustainability Project Manager Role Summary: Lead and deliver global sustainability initiatives to reduce operational energy intensity and greenhouse gas emissions, driving progress toward 2030 corporate targets across all sites. Expectations: - Achieve measurable reductions in energy use and carbon footprint in line with company goals. - Influence senior leadership and cross‑functional teams on sustainability strategy. - Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability standards. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, execute, and monitor sustainability projects (energy efficiency, carbon reduction, circularity). - Integrate sustainability metrics into business operations and reporting. - Provide strategic advice on energy intensity trends, risks, and opportunities. - Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders (Operations, Supply Chain, Leadership) and external partners (certifiers, regulators). - Compile and analyze data for sustainability reporting tools (ISO 14001, GRI, CDP, Science‑Based Targets). - Lead continuous improvement initiatives across production and capital investment projects. Required Skills: - Project management, analytical, and problem‑solving expertise. - Strong written and verbal communication; stakeholder engagement and influence. - Deep understanding of environmental regulations, green chemistry principles, and sustainable manufacturing practices. - Proficiency in data analysis and sustainability reporting software. - Ability to work cross‑culturally and across global sites. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field. - Master’s degree or equivalent in Sustainability Management or Environmental Science (plus). - Demonstrated 10+ years of sustainability program or environmental management experience, preferably in chemical or manufacturing industry. - Knowledge of sustainability standards/frameworks (ISO 14001, LEED, GRI, CDP, Science‑Based Targets).
