**Job Title:** Trainee Financial Accountant **Role Summary:** Entry‑level accounting role focused on supporting day‑to‑day financial operations, month‑end close, reconciliations, and statutory reporting while developing skills toward a professional qualification (ACCA or equivalent). **Expectations:** - Graduate or recent graduate with a background in Accounting, Finance, or Business. - Commitment to a finance career and willingness to learn and grow. - Detail‑oriented, responsible, and proactive in meeting deadlines. **Key Responsibilities:** - Post journal entries and maintain the general ledger. - Assist with month‑end close activities, including account reconciliations and reporting. - Prepare and reconcile bank statements, investigating any discrepancies. - Support VAT returns and other statutory filings. - Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations. - Process and approve employee expense claims in compliance with company policy. - Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audit purposes. - Provide general support to the financial accounting and wider finance team. **Required Skills:** - Strong written and verbal communication. - Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel. - Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) is an advantage. - Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail. - Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. - Pursuing a professional accounting qualification (ACCA or equivalent) is required.
