Job Description: **Job Title:** PHP Developer (LAMP Stack) **Role Summary:** Contract PHP developer responsible for migrating an existing legacy LAMP stack application to a newer version. Review, test, and update PHP code to ensure functional integrity, refine operational runbooks, and support ongoing application maintenance. **Expectations:** - 3‑month contract with potential extension. - Remote work, full responsibility for on‑site system configuration and performance tuning. **Key Responsibilities:** - Analyze and refactor legacy PHP code for compatibility with modern LAMP stack. - Conduct thorough testing (unit, integration, regression) to validate functionality. - Update and maintain operational runbooks and technical documentation. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex application performance issues. - Collaborate with DevOps to ensure secure system configurations and compliance. **Required Skills:** - Minimum 5 years experience in LAMP stack development. - Strong Linux system administration skills, especially secure LDAP/S configuration, LDAP authentication, and OpenSSL. - Proficient with version control systems (Git, SVN). - Excellent problem‑solving ability for performance diagnostics. - Clear written and verbal communication for documentation and stakeholder interaction. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent field.
