Job Description
**Job Title:** Gameplay Programmer **Role Summary:** Develop and implement core gameplay systems, mechanics, AI behaviors, and UI feedback for upcoming titles. Collaborate with designers, artists, and programmers to translate design concepts into performant, engaging player experiences across multiple platforms. **Expectations:** - Deliver clean, maintainable C# code (Unity) meeting performance and quality standards. - Rapidly prototype and iterate on gameplay ideas. - Troubleshoot and optimize code, balancing creative goals with technical constraints. - Communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary, fast‑paced team. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and code character controls, physics, AI, game rules, and NPC logic. - Create and integrate in‑game UI elements and feedback systems. - Prototype and refine gameplay concepts in collaboration with designers. - Identify, debug, and resolve technical issues affecting gameplay quality. - Contribute technical insight during brainstorming and design reviews. **Required Skills:** - 2+ years professional gameplay programming experience; at least one shipped title. - Strong proficiency in C# and Unity; knowledge of C++/Unreal Engine a plus. - Solid grasp of object‑oriented programming and game architecture. - Proven ability to debug, optimize, and deliver performance‑critical code. - Portfolio showcasing gameplay mechanics/systems you built or contributed to. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Passion for video games and understanding of engaging gameplay. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Relevant certifications (e.g., Unity Certified Programmer) optional.
