Job Description
**Job Title:** DFIR Analyst / Incident Response **Role Summary:** Perform end‑to‑end detection, investigation, containment, and remediation of security incidents for a global organization’s CSIRT. Contribute to threat intelligence, hunting activities, and continuous improvement of detection capabilities across IT and OT environments. **Expectations:** - Operate autonomously on investigations while collaborating within the CSIRT. - Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule (approximately every 6–8 weeks). - Deliver thorough documentation of incidents, processes, and lessons learned. **Key Responsibilities:** - Detect, qualify, and respond to security incidents (malware, compromise, phishing, data exfiltration, etc.). - Analyze system logs, EDR, and SIEM data to trace attack vectors and tactics. - Collect and examine technical artefacts; identify IOCs and TTPs. - Execute containment, eradication, and system recovery actions. - Conduct threat hunting and assess emerging threats to enrich threat models. - Propose and implement enhancements to detection rules and investigative tools. - Maintain accurate incident reports and update CSIRT documentation. **Required Skills:** - Strong knowledge of incident response lifecycle and DFIR methodologies. - Proficiency with EDR, SIEM, log analysis, and forensic tooling. - Ability to analyze malware, network traffic, and endpoint artefacts. - Understanding of ATT&CK framework, IOCs, and TTPs. - Experience in threat hunting and threat intelligence integration. - Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills. - Ability to work independently and manage rotating on‑call duties. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Preferred certifications: GCIH, GCFA, GNFA, CEH, OSCP, or similar. - Relevant hands‑on experience in DFIR/incident response (2+ years preferred).
