Job Description
**Job Title:** Senior Site Reliability Engineer **Role Summary:** Lead reliability initiatives for large‑scale, customer‑facing digital services within a centralized Technical Operations function. Partner with product and engineering teams to define reliability standards, improve architecture, automate deployments, and ensure system health across global, multi‑region environments. **Expectations:** - Drive preventative reliability improvements and manage incident response. - Influence architecture for scalability, availability, and cost‑effective resilience. - Mentor engineers and promote SRE best practices across teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Identify systemic reliability risks; define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets. - Lead complex incident management, post‑mortem analyses, and remediation planning. - Review and influence system architecture for high availability and fault isolation. - Design and implement safe deployment strategies (canary, blue/green) and robust rollback mechanisms. - Build and enhance observability (metrics, logging, tracing) to reduce alert fatigue. - Diagnose performance bottlenecks across infrastructure and applications. - Design, deploy, and operate cloud‑native, containerised workloads at scale using IaC. - Develop automation to minimize manual effort and operational risk. - Collaborate with engineering, product, and security stakeholders to improve reliability. **Required Skills:** - 7+ years SRE, production engineering, or systems engineering experience. - Deep expertise in AWS (or GCP/Azure) with multi‑region deployments. - Strong knowledge of distributed systems concepts (consistency, failure handling). - Advanced proficiency with Kubernetes and large‑scale container orchestration. - Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines with deployment safety practices. - Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go, Python, or Java). - Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation). - Proven incident management and remediation leadership. - Excellent communication and cross‑functional influencing skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. - Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus but not mandatory.
