Job Description: Job title: Senior Software Engineer Role Summary: Lead technical delivery and engineering excellence for an AI‑powered enterprise chatbot platform. Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services, API contracts, and RAG pipelines while coaching a small team of developers to adopt clean code, robust architecture, and efficient workflow practices. Expectations: * Own end‑to‑end feature development, from architecture to production deployment.* Drive code quality, system design, and testing standards. Mentor peers through pair programming, reviews, and constructive feedback. Influences product direction and operational practices to support a growing codebase with minimal friction. Key Responsibilities: • Architect and extend the AI agent engine and multi‑agent workflows. • Design, implement, and secure RESTful APIs and database integrations (MongoDB, PostgreSQL). • Build and maintain reliable backend services; optimize RAG pipelines for speed and predictability. • Define and enforce code quality, architecture, and unit/integration testing guidelines. • Conduct thoughtful code reviews and pair sessions with junior developers. • Champion CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud deployment on Azure or equivalent. • Ensure platform meets enterprise security, governance, and observability requirements. • Collaborate on scalability strategies to accommodate growth to 50+ developers. Required Skills: • 5+ years professional software engineering experience. • Proficient in React, Node.js and/or Python; RESTful API design and implementation. • Strong database skills (MongoDB, PostgreSQL). • Deep understanding of system architecture, trade‑offs, and modern engineering practices. • Mastery of Git workflow, branching strategies, and constructive code reviews. • Experience with Azure/Azure DevOps or comparable cloud platform. • Familiarity with CI/CD, automation tooling, and basic infrastructure responsibilities. • Hands‑on or curious about Generative AI, LLMOps, and AI governance. • Experience with Microsoft Cloud Platform (MCP) servers advantageous. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field. • Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Cloud Practitioner) considered a plus.
