Job Description

Job title: GCP IAM Engineer Role Summary: Implement and operate identity and access management (IAM) on Google Cloud Platform for a regulated enterprise, ensuring least‑privilege access, automation, and audit readiness through Terraform and Python. Expectations: - Onboard applications securely with minimal rework. - Reduce IAM incidents and access issues. - Maintain audit‑ready documentation and evidence. - Consistently enforce least‑privilege and Zero Trust controls. Key Responsibilities: - Provision and manage GCP IAM roles, policies, bindings, and service accounts across projects. - Implement secure onboarding patterns (runtime identity, human access, break‑glass access). - Automate IAM provisioning with Terraform and Git‑based workflows. - Configure authentication and authorization controls aligned with enterprise standards. - Support identity integrations, group mappings, and role governance. - Troubleshoot complex access issues across cloud, network, and security layers. - Produce audit evidence (approvals, logs, deployment records). - Conduct IAM reviews and compliance assessments. - Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures. Required Skills: - 6–9 years in Identity & Access Management. - Strong GCP IAM expertise (roles, permissions, service accounts, policy inheritance, cross‑project access). - Proficiency with Terraform (modules, state management, IaC best practices). - Python scripting for automation and validation. - Git and Pull Request workflow experience. - Knowledge of least‑privilege and Zero Trust principles. - Experience in regulated or controlled environments. - Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
